Diffused High Temperature Aluminide Coatings:

Thermal-Vac offers diffused aluminide coatings for protection of nickel-based and cobalt-based superalloys at temperatures up to 2050 degrees Fahrenheit. As with silicide coatings, Thermal-Vac utilizes a slurry system to uniformly adhere aluminide coating elements to the substrate in a “green” coating. The applied green coating elements to react with the substrate surface to form an intermetallic aluminide coating layer. The slurry approach not only allows flexibility in coating application methods, but also provides for easy tailoring for the coatings for specific substrates and operating environments. The composition and microstructure can be varied by altering the elemental powders and/or the diffusion cycle time and temperature.

Aluminum Coatings:

For corrosion and erosion protection in environments up to 1100 degrees Fahrenheit, Thermal-Vac offers a duplex aluminum overlay coating system. The base coat, consisting of aluminum powder in a chromium/phosphate binder, is applied uniformly and fused to the substrate. A clear seal coat is then applied and cured. The resultant coating provides a smooth surface and offers excellent corrosion and oxidation protection.
